The director of Real Betis Sporting, Manu Fajardo, suggested a permanent transfer for the Manchester United winger thing on the qualification in the Champions League.
Antony joined Laliga’s outfit on loan at the January transfer window and took an excellent start to life in Spain by scoring three goals in her first four games in all competitions.
So much so that the Brazilian revealed that he was again happy after being authorized to leave Old Trafford following a largely disappointing fate since his transfer of 85 million pounds of Ajax in the summer of 2022.
A future in Manchester seems unlikely for Antony in the midst of the reports of United ready to unload the winger among the other players of the first team in their attempts to collect funds this summer to finish a overhaul of the Ruben Amorim team.
Fortunately for Man Utd, there seems to be a pretender for the 25 -year -old, because Real Betis would have opened talks concerning a loan extension.
However, speaking of the Spanish publication Marca, Fajardo underlined the conditions for a permanent agreement.
He said: “In the Betis sports department, we are working on” devaluated “players, analyzing the data of players who have reached very high moments and peaks, but which, for various reasons, has considerably decreased their performance.
“We are concerned about their situation and we speak with the main clubs.
“In his case, we were able to anticipate and convince the player and his entourage. Today, Antony immediately performs from the first minute in the team.
“We have not lost our enthusiasm, we cannot exclude anything in football, and I hope that real Betis will remain in the main European positions for the benefit of its continuity and the arrival of other great players.”
While things are, Betis sits sixth in the Laliga table and eight sports club points that occupy the last qualification place in the Champions League.
That said, the first five in Spain could all sit at the best table in European football as Laliga – with the Premier League – are in pole position to have an additional team in the competition next season.
