The double winner, Lilia Vu, pulled one by 64 eight sous to take a two -stroke advance after the second round of the LPGA Ford championship on Friday.

The 27 -year -old American did eight birdies in a Tour without Bogey to stand on 140 after 36 holes at the Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona.

“I just stayed in my bubble,” said seen. “My Caddy knew that I was stressed this morning, and on the range, he just said:” Just hit your starting lines and I will manage the rest. We are well. “It definitely gave me a feeling of comfort.”

Seen in sixth row, a former world number one, is looking for its sixth LPGA title and the first since June last June, its first event after a three -month absence for a back injury that always disturbs it.

“I was not too worried about golf. I was somehow more focused on my bodies and I tried to pass the tour without any pain and stay hard everywhere,” said seen.

“I tried to agree with my body. I don’t hurt anymore. I’m just waiting for the power to kick.

A second out of 132 pack included Nelly Korda in the United States who pulled a 65, and the world number two Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand who fired 64.

Two at the drift were also Charley Hull in England and Nanna Koerstz Madsen of Denmark.

Korda, a Nine Starter, made five birdies in her first nine holes and then three more after the Tour against a lonely Bogey in the fourth par-4.

“I left well,” Korda said. “Has slowed down a bit on the nine rear, but the wind resumed a little. It was starting to play a little more. Once the turn and the heat start to play a factor, you have to be a little more shy.”

Thitikul, also a starter from Nine, started with three birdies and an eagle in the 12th par-5 of his first four holes. She added four birdies the rest of the path and only made it Bogey four.

“I did not have good confidence before coming here with my putter, but I think that for this tour, I put very well,” said Thitikul.

Hull, who pulled a 63 Thursday for the 18 -hole advance, pulled a 69.

“I felt like I played quite solid there,” said Hull. “I put on good putts and I missed a few that I should probably have been buried, but it was a bit windy. I’m pretty happy with that and I can’t wait to spend the weekend.”

Hull number 10 in the world is looking for its third triumph of LPGA in career and the first since 2022 Volunteers of America Classic.

Madsen, whose only LPGA victory came to Thailand in 2022, drew a 68.

“It was delicate there. The Greens were really firm. He had a little wind,” said Madsen. It was good to make pars. “”
