Oliver Glasner leads praise for Ebelechi Eze as palace makes semi-finals in FA Cup

Oliver Glasner praised “Amazing” Ebelechi Eze after Crystal Palace has sailed in the FA Cup semi-finals with a 3-0 victory against Fulham in Craven Cottage.

Eze was at the heart of the domination of the palace in western London, with the international score of England and the assistance at Ismaila Sarr before the strike of Eddie Nketiah in the second period.

His goal came after obtaining her first in international colors during the qualification in the World Cup in England against Latvia earlier this week.

“I think Ebere has had a strange season, he did not have a lot of goals in the Premier League and he was unlucky, but he continues, he also had trouble with strange injuries,” said Glasner after the match.

“The goal against Latvia and its first for England means a lot for him. He always has confidence, we know that he is an incredible finisher to cut inside on his right foot with an incredible finish.

“We need this quality, he helped us today.”

Eze’s moment of brightness came in the form of a magic solo dribble inside and hit in the right right corner.

The attacker midfielder then delivered a perfect crossing on the Sarr path which had Bernd Leno hospitalized to double the advantage of the palace.

“We have never lost our belief, we fought in the game,” added Glasner.

“Our first hello in the match was (Jefferson) Lerma hitting the post, the second was important today with an incredible goal, our structure was better and the defense was better, it was a big victory today.”

The victory on Saturday marked the fifth successive victory of Palace in all the competitions while they are now preparing for a first trip from Wembley in three years.

“I think it is something special that the two semi-finals are played in the same stadium as the final and it is something very English,” said Glasner. “I really like it and we will be ready in four weeks to win this match.”

Rodrigo Muniz almost broke the dead end of Fulham in what was promising the first 20 minutes for the hosts.

However, the chalets fought in the last third, putting only three of their 16 shots on the target.

“It’s a big punch in the stomach,” said boss Marco Silva.

“We have to react, we cannot hide, we have to move forward in the past eight weeks of the season which are really important to us.

“No one expected what happened afterwards (first 20 minutes), but the match does not last 20 minutes.

“We had two big chance in these 20 minutes from (Andreas) Pereira and Muniz, the reality is that we did not score, we were not strong at both ends this afternoon.”
